"We Love You, We Do..."

Wow! It's been a long time!!!!!
Sorry to all my faithful, lonely readers out there waiting with baited breath for a new post!

There's so much to post about that I thought I would play some catch-up (or ketchup -- ever wonder why it's called that?) to pay tribute to all the happinesses that have been happening!

First Up -- A super fun birthday party last Sunday with my favorite peeps.

Good Food, Good Friends, So Much ELJ Love!!!

Two of the quotes that we shared for the "program" that reminded me so much of her...

There are three words that sweetly blend,
That on the heart are graven;
A precious soothing balm they lend:
They’re mother, home and heaven.
-- Author Unknown

Woman’s influence can bless a community or a nation to that extent to which she develops her spiritual powers in harmony with the heaven-sent gifts with which she has been endowed by nature. If she does not forfeit her priceless heritage by her own willful negligence, she can be largely instrumental in safeguarding democracy and downing a would-be tyrant. Year in and year out, she may cast the aura of her calming and refining influence to make certain that her posterity will enjoy the opportunities to develop to their fullest potential their spiritual and physical natures. – Harold B. Lee

Am I the luckiest girl in the world or what? I know. I know. I can't believe it too.

It was so fun to be with her granddaughters too - Annie and Becca! Love them!!!

(PS - in the background you can kind-of see my newly recovered overstuffed chair! Love it!!)

You know there's no one else like ELJ that makes me So Happy!

ARRRRRRGH!!!

Ok -- another calendaring item I'm sure you won't want to miss.

I am "starring" in the Stake Melodrama! It's titled "Shiver Me Timbers" or "The Little Love Boat." I'm the lovely Spanish maiden who gets kidnapped by the evil French pirates and then is rescued by my hero Capitan de la Cruz. :)

I have two lip sync numbers. You so don't want to miss it.

March 13-14th. Not 13 through the 14th. Just once on March 13 and once on March 14. So you've got two opportunities to catch the show. :)

I mean there is swashbuckling, deceit, love, intrigue and incredible cheesy jokes. You can't beat it. We may be up for a Golden Green Globe this year. Just wait.

Being in the theater again makes me Oh So Happy!

Ha! hahahahahahaha

Ok -- I guess I should've explained that I want a username for a hypothetical account that I may end up setting up to potentially see if there are any available singles in the Salt Lake area. Maybe.

Hypothetically.

We'll see.

So -- while iluvoldpeople is particularly appropriate for me as a person, it may not be totally appropriate for a single's website. I mean if it's gonna be that it might as well be iluvsickoldpeoplewithcash.

Also - while nopolygsthanks is hilarious -- same story. Whaddya think? Mo'men was Ballsworth's idea -- a play on Mormon and More Men... ha!

Do you need to revote? Go ahead. Vote again.

Let your voice be heard.

Democracy and hilarious names make me -- So happy!

Hey - how bout sohappy for a username?

Self-disclosure aka Let That Freak Flag Fly!

Does anyone else think it's a problem that while I've watched Biggest Loser tonight I've eaten half a hot and ready pepperoni pizza and a whole bunch of candy cane joe-joe's from Trader Joe's?

Yum.

Sick.

So Happy.

Rise and Shout?

It's official. I'll be speaking at BYU Women's Conference.

YIKES!!!!!!!!!!! And wow. I feel so blessed and a huge weight of responsibility.

Anyone who can spare the time -- I would so appreciate your support that day!

Mark your calendars -- I think I'll be speaking on April 30 at 2:00 p.m. somewhere on BYU campus.

You can register online already! Or if you can only come for my talk I can get you a ticket for just that session. I know - it's a Thursday, in the middle of the day, in Provo. But... Please? I'd love to see friendly faces in the audience. Not that the sisters that go to Women's Conference aren't friendly - but you get what I mean.

It's a huge honor - but wow.

My topic is "Come what may and love it: Choosing joy and faith in Jesus Christ."

Thoughts?

Women's Conference still (and knowing who else we'll get to hear from on May 1 (my favorite day of the year) (see labels for a clue...)) makes me So Happy!

It's Electric! (BoogyWoogyWoogyWoo!)

Well -- Hello 2009!

Today while I was getting ready for work, I heard Patrick Swayze singing "She's like the wind" and it made me feel two things. One: Really, Patrick? She's like the wind through your tree? What the heck? Two: I miss blogging. So here I am!

I'm taking a new, simpler approach to blogging. Just thoughts, short, random, whatev... And no more Dolly titles. Unless they're easy to come up with but that was keeping me from blogging! I am rather impressed with myself though for making it 5 months (ok 4, because I did not post even ONCE in December) with all titles of Dolly songs. Oh, remember Dolly? Love her!!! I have so much to post!!!

So. Yesterday I got out of bed. Good job, me. For some reason though, my lovely, fleecy pajama pants loaded up on static from my sheets and when I hit the snooze button on my alarm, I was shocked so hard that I actually saw the electricity! I saw the shock. It lit up! Like the lifesavers you can spark with! That was my finger. Ow! It happened like 4 more times because I like to snooze. Ow! What's up with all that electricity?

Getting shocked doesn't really make me so happy but blogging again and with a new cute for winter 2009 background (found at http://www.simplychicblogs.blogspot.com/) - So Happy.
